2021 was a great year with fresh and ripe grapes.
The white A Liberdade 2021 comes at 70% from 25 years old vineyard (Cerceal, Encruzado and Bical) and at 30% from old vineyards (80 years old) in field blend.
This wine was vinified without added sulfites, which mean that the wild yeasts were free (in portuguese “Liberdade” means freedom).
Description
Vinification without added sulfites (except on the bottling).
After smooth pressing, gravity decanting lasted 2 days, without use of enzymes or enological products. Alcoholic fermentation took place in a stainless steel tank and began naturally, with the indigenous yeast, to express its identity in the purest form.
100% Malolactic Fermentation – Bottling took place in end of April 2022.
Deep, character, very pure, fresh and crystalline, elegant and full-bodied saline mouth. Long and mineral finish (granite).
