Champagne Deutz Cuvee William Deutz Millésime 2000

$248.00 inc. GST

A golden colour with cristal-bright reflections. The nose is powerfully rich and expressive with its aromas of stewed white peaches under-scored by hints of honey, spices, preserved ginger and nutmeg. The entry on the palate is lively, well-defined and crisp. The wine exudes delicate flavours of spices and fresh biscuit. Fine touches of stewed fruit, honey and roasted fresh almonds combine with these to produce a full-bodied and complex wine that shows perfect balance. The finish is deliciously savoury.

Reviews / Awards / Ratings

“Light yellow. Very refined nose expressing toast, ripe raspberry and patisserie aromatics. The palate shows extremely refined expression, silky effervescence and clear-cut perfumes. A very delicate Champagne across the palate.” – 96 Points, Gilbert & Gaillard

“Not that dry but very dense with marked Pinot perfume. Still very tight knit – almost neurotic!” 17+ Points, Jancis Robinson.
