Grace Rosé Akeno Vineyard 2018

Misawa Farm grows grapes without using herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

The grapes were cultivated with great care,  directly pressed – saignee (pressed with skins to bleed colour), and fermented and stored in old French oak barrels. The complexity of the varieties and the taste of the land are carefully expressed. First produced in 2008,  born from the desire to make great dry rosé with structure.

“Merlot(43%), Cabernet Franc(28%), Cabernet Sauvignon(26%), Petit Verdot(3%) from the Misawa Estate Vineyard,Akeno,Yamanashi, 700m above sea level. Raised in old French oak.  Interesting wine. Almost like a cherry lolly, but also kind of dry too, with a little smokiness, pepper, and blood orange acidity, anddusty white pepper texture and flavour. A bit funky on the finish.
